The Commandery of Florida hereby honors and recognizes the dedication of its revered Commander Isabelle Paul for her continued efforts on behalf of the Order of St. John Florida Commandery in fulfilling its commitment to the support of the disadvantaged of the South Florida Community.

H.E.Grand Dame Isabelle K. Paul, GCSJ has been honored by the international Order of St. John of Jerusalem Knights Hospitaller, Malta, by award of the Gold Medal of Merit, Letter of Commendation OSJ and the Cross of Merit, the Order’s highest honor for her dedicated service to the Order and its philanthropic mission of supporting the sick and poor throughout the world.

Following the death of her husband Lawrence Paul in 1987, Isabelle Paul decided to dedicate the rest of her life to working for the Lord.  In 2004, Mrs. Paul was invited to join the Order of St. John Knights Hospitaller headquartered in Malta.  The OSJ is among the oldest Orders of Chivalry still in existence and directly descended from the Order founded in Jerusalem in the late 11th century.  Since 2011 she has led the Florida Commandery headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida.

As Commander of the OSJ Florida Commandery, H.E. Grand Dame Isabelle Paul GCSJ inspires the commandery’s 45 members to diligently serve the mission of the order to support local charitable organizations serving the disadvantaged of the South Florida community.  The Florida Commandery, under Commander Paul’s leadership, has donated over $1.5 million to local charitable organizations serving the sick and poor and disadvantaged of our community.
